Packaging Designer
IMA is a creative agency that builds brands people want to be part of. We are looking for a curious and driven Packaging Designer to join our CHILLI department. In this role, you will help inspire a creative culture and craft industry-leading design solutions that translate specifically into attention-grabbing packaging.
If you have an obsessive passion for design, an excellent knowledge of packaging, from typography to message hierarchy, and the desire to deliver engaging, effective work, we want to hear from you.

The role
As a Packaging Designer, you will report to the Design Director. You will support senior roles in delivering market-leading work by interpreting creative briefs and developing appropriate design concepts. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards across the team and will have the opportunity to participate in pitch presentations.
What you’ll be doing
Working with creative briefs developed by planning and account handling teams to produce high-quality design concepts
Thinking creatively to produce new ideas specifically tailored for the packaging world
Presenting finalised ideas and concepts to clients or account handlers in a thoughtful and articulate manner
Adding value to briefs by gathering information and data through self-initiated research
Accurately estimating the time taken to complete work and providing that information to account handlers
Working as part of a creative team to ensure quality standards are maintained across all outputs
What we’re looking for
Evidence of packaging design experience, ideally within the food and drink sector
A good grounding in design principles and strong industry awareness
Ability to articulate concepts and ideas to the wider team and other departments
A strong face-to-face communicator who can support and win client pitches
Knowledge of the artworking and production process
The ability to self-manage and a can-do approach to challenging yourself and others
